Lichnos Beach guide

Overview:  This guide will take you from Parga 5km over the mountain to Lichnos Beach. It's a beautiful trip with lots of stunning views on both sides through olive groves and past romantic little chapels.

The hike is the perfect length and height, you should be able to cross in about two hours and if you don't feel like walking back, there's a boat that will take you every hour until 6pm (18:00) for just 4€. It can also take you from Parga to Lichnos beach if you prefer walking the other way. less «

Tips:  Remember to bring water, that's the single most important thing, especially if you're taking this trip around midday. at least 1.5 liters per person.

I personally recommend a pair of Vibram FiveFingers KSO Treks for this hike, but ordinary hiking sandals will probably do just fine as will any pair of good walking/running shoes, my girlfriend even walked here in a pair of Reefer Flip Flops but the steep mountain goat trail at the beginning is quite jagged with lots of loose and sharp rocks.

You should probably also bring some sunscreen or a hat and taking a dive before and after this trip will be most refreshing.
